Wim and Marga, from Luxembourg, friends and collaborators of our association, initially helped in Gambia, but finishing their charitable mission in this part of the world, they turned their eyes to Europe. They have become very close to us and to what we are trying to do in our community. The Vincentian association which develops social activities together with Greek Catholic Parish of Turt, opened a charity shop, which was supplied by this family, which sent objects, clothes, shoes, collected from the donations made by the generous people in the area where they live. For many years they helped us financially and/or with donations of material goods for our charity store or for the Social Center, which is currently under construction. Their objective was to help us finish the construction as soon as possible. This project, which represents a social-charitable center, will be a welcoming place for vulnerable children who need help with their homework and spiritual and psycho-educational support. This family also helped us with monetary donations, participating in what are called – flewmarkt (fairs). We thank them for their collaboration and hope that in the future we will witness the long-awaited inauguration of the social – center.
