Childrenhouse Turț România has as main objectives:
Childrenhouse Turț România serves:
Each day, we will offer lunch and dinner to those attending after-school program, provide for basic hygienic needs such as bathing, clean clothing, and brushing teeth, catechesis and evangelization according to their age: children and teenagers. – for children, teach basic tenets of the Christian faith. For teens, provide youth groups to discuss faith in a modern context and form lasting communities, free medical consultation and treatment for children with physical disabilities
We would like to bring to your attention a project which we are developing in our parish together with Catherine (England) Danner, a 2012 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville from Cincinnati, Ohio USA.
It is our goal to provide a day center for poor children, a house where hungry children will be served lunch and dinner each day after school. We intend to help the poor children from around the town of Turț, including the Roma population.
There will be help offered to complete further their academic studies as well as spiritual education. The center will benefit from the help of volunteers from around the world: students from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, America, Italy, and volunteers from other countries. The whole project will cost 150000 euros. We are currently about ¾ completed with the physical building.
